During winter vacation, the “2010 Winter Vacation Camp for Youth Students” was held for a week, starting from January 4. Each local Church throughout the country ran this winter vacation camp to help the youth students, who will lead the future, to foster their dreams and faith. Over 7,000 student members participated in this camp and spent a very meaningful and fruitful time.

The camp programs focused on teaching the truth so that the students would cultivate wholesome emotions and possess upright faith. The teachers conducted every class using the audio-visual materials to the fullest in order to help the students better understand what they learned. With twinkling eyes, the students listened attentively to their teachers; they put confidence in the truth, feeling interested in God’s word.

On the last day of the camp, they invited their friends and gave a presentation of the Bible which they had learned during the camp. They also shared a warm friendship with one another through various recreation programs: Yut-nol-ee (a Korean traditional board game), Bible quizzes, role-playing games, and so on. Some local Churches visited the historical places such as the Independence Hall of Korea and the ruins of the Great General Lee Soon Shin, which left the students with many meaningful memories.

The student members finished their camp, wishing it could last longer. They conveyed their firm resolution for the gospel by saying, “The words of truth, which were hard to understand before, have now become very clear to us, being deeply engraved in our minds. We will not forget what we have learned but preach it to our friends and lead them to Zion.”
